Yokohama presents the new version of its Geolandar XM / T G005 SUV tires. Compared to other ‘normal’ wheels, it can already be seen simply by observing the massive tread of these new tires.
The new 4 × 4 hard tires will be officially presented by Yokohama at the 4 × 4 Fest in Carrara, Italy, from October 11 to 13, 2019. However, in this post we will show you the first details of the Geolandar XM / T G005, a really perfect wheel for everyone who loves to drive off the road.
4 × 4 Yokohama wheels for any terrain
What makes an all-terrain tire special is the continuous and extended tread pattern even on the shoulder and flank of the tire. The most careful eyes will easily notice the POR (Professional Off Road) mark of the Yokohama Geolandar XM / T G005.
This brand identifies the tires suitable for use on and off the road . The only precaution, in case the tire model speed code is lower than the one described on the ITV card, is to place a sticker on the back of the car, so that the maximum attainable speed is displayed.

The Geolandar XM / T G005 family grows
The new XM / T G005 extends the Yokohama Geolandar family that already includes these four models. For more detailed guide go to yokohama geolandar a/t g015 review to know further.

Important points for safe driving
- To preserve the safety in the traffic and the life of the tire, YOKOHAMA recommends safe driving avoiding sudden acceleration, braking or curving in unnecessary situations.
- If you feel that the car is unstable or feels strange noises or vibrations, stop your car in a safe place and inspect your tires. Even if you don’t find any visible defect, drive slowly and ask your tire professional to inspect your tires as soon as possible.
- To ensure the safety of traffic, YOKOHAMA recommends that you drive much slower in atmospheric conditions or adverse road conditions.
- When inspecting the tires, also check the valves to see if they have been damaged or cracked. Be sure to tighten the valve cover tightly.
